Our Shiraz-based “Big Red”. A tannic, yet sophisticated and elegant wine, with a full body and a good mouthfill. Limited production.

The oldest side of the house dates from the late 1400s and served as an outpost of the castle of Pignano. It is still standing strong, witness of centuries.

We think of it as the symbol of the indomitable essence of truly good wines.

The name is also in honour of Volterra, where the Tuscan landscape is often vast and untamed.
